Joining our Collaborative is a very big commitment that involves attending two group meetings a month (the first Monday evening of every month, as well the third Monday or Tuesday of every month). It also requires supporting the collective by doing volunteer work around things like advertising, time spent creating a more effective and harmonious internal structure, and being a support system for the rest of the group. As part of our altruism towards our fellow caregivers, we oftentimes share clients or give each other work when we have more work than someone else within the group. We also try to cover each others shifts if one of us sick or away on vacation etc. As you may know from visiting our website, we are all independent contractors so we each set our own individual rates and have our own individual pages on the website where we can present our skills and experience. Our application process is as follows: 1. You send us a formal request for an application through e-mail: practicalaltruism@gmail.com 2. Each of the group members reviews the application and decides if they want to invite you to a Group Interview. 3. After the Group Interview, if we decide we want you to become a member, then there is a 90 Day trial period, during which you could be asked to leave the group at anytime. 4. The 90 Day trial period includes a Group check-in after one month, and then a full assessment with the group after 90 Days. In order for you to be fully initiated at that time, there must be unanimous agreement amongst the existing group members. |
